What is a Stageprompter and how does it work?

Covert confidence - Hidden in a wedge style audio floor monitor case, the Stageprompter is virtually undetectable by the audience. It gives the user and fellow performers a massive confidence boost by displaying what they need to see such as chords, lyrics, presentation notes, music scores, tabs, structure or whatever is required. Great for any on stage artists wanting a computerless wedge teleprompter monitor that is invisible to the audience.

Used by - The Stageprompter is typically used by musicians, singers, presenters, ministers, performers, speakers and choirs. You will find our teleprompter products on the worlds biggest and smallest stages, places of worship, conference centres, stadiums, churches, universitys, schools, theatres and many more venues.

Computerless - We boast that our products are "computerless". When you are performing up on stage you want your equipment to be ultra reliable, simple to set up, easy to operate and zero maintenance. Our Stageprompters have an internal "controller board" that has been designed and manufactured specifically for our products and to operate exactly as we want it to. When you turn it on, it is fully functional within a few seconds, displaying your lyrics, guitar chords etc. There is no software to configure, no keyboard or mouse needed, no wireless or bluetooth to worry about, no fans needed, no battery backup needed, no updates to worry about, It just works ! In fact we believe it is the best lyrics prompter for singers available today.

How they operate? – All Stageprompters display PDF and JPG files of your songs, lyrics, guitar chords etc that are saved onto a standard USB Memory Stick. The USB memory stick is inserted into the connector panel and a menu of your files (songs etc) is displayed. Using the foot switch you can then move through the files in forward or reverse order or select a specific file you require from the menu. There is no on or off stage set up, the Stageprompter is fully operational from the moment it is turned on.

HDMI input - Some models, as well as our internal  PDF / JPG controller, have a HDMI input to allow the display from a laptop, tablet PC or iPad etc to be sent to the Stageprompter screen. This allows you to use any software you may choose to display your prompts and also enables remote operation.

How to get your lyrics, chords, presentation notes etc onto the Stageprompter - Because the Stageprompters read PDF files you can create these in any existing software on your PC or Mac computer / tablet etc. We have also produced a purpose made lyrics application that allows you to cut and paste from your existing text, information, song sheets etc. You can format your work, group and order your files into sets and can back up or restore your work. When you are ready to perform, just copy your PDF or JPG  files to a USB memory stick and insert it into the Stageprompters control panel and you are good to go. You are free to work on your songs, prompts etc off stage, walk on stage, plug in and perform.
